Game fishing in Mayo.

Ballina is Mayo's largest town and the world renowned River Moy is its centre-piece with good runs of grilse between April and September. The River Moy is an exceptional salmon fishery and the famous Ridge Pool is located in the town centre.

Lough Conn and Lough Cullin, just to the south of Ballina, is renowned for its brown trout fishing with main season running from April to September. Arrangements can be made for fishing on other local rivers and loughs where sea trout and salmon would be your main source of battle!!

 

Local attractions for the non-fisherman include Ceide Fields, Achill Island, Foxford Woollen Mills, Knock Shrine, Belacurrick Bog Train, North Mayo Heritage Centre.

Connemara in County Galway lies about an hour north of Galway City and around two hours from Shannon International Airport. The hidden valleys' and glens are a naturally beautiful and wild area of the west of Ireland.

It is famous for its gin clear water set in spectacular surroundings with a long fishing season. Salmon season stretches from 1st February until 30th September. A majority of the best waters are fly only.

Local attractions for the non-fisherman include Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey, Clifden, small traditional villages, hill walking, natural landscapes, horse riding, golf, and real peace and relaxation!
