This tour takes you around the main urban areas of Ireland and gives an insight into Irish City life with its many museums, art galleries, shopping streets, lively pubs and quality restaurants, architecture, history and characters.
The tour can be easier conducted by Train and Bus if a car rental is not required.
Either Dublin, Cork or Limerick can be used as a main entry/exit port and itinerary is very flexible and interchangeable with other tours offered by Celtour.
Day 1: Arrive Dublin Port and transfer to City Centre.
Stay 2 nights at Clifden Guesthouse in Dublin City Centre.
Clifden is a quality 3* Georgian guesthouse and only eight minutes walk from O’Connell Street. The fourteen en suite bedrooms have direct dial telephones, TV, tea/coffee facilities. There is a car park, resident’s lounge, fax facilities, baby sitting service, left luggage storage and a full fire detection and alarm system. Full Irish Breakfast is served.
Central Dublin as so much to offer the vistor: Temple Bar, Dublin Castle, Irish Writers Centre, Trinity College, Irish Museum of Modern Art, Guinness Hop Store, James Joyce Centre, Phoenix Park and Zoo, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Irish Whiskey Corner, Christ Church Cathedral, Irish Parliament, Dvblinia, National Gallery, The Municipal Gallery, National Museum of Ireland; to name but a few!!!! Also, all the shopping, pubs, street markets, wonderful atmosphere and a very alive City all on your doorstep.
Children under 12 get a 1/3 reduction if sharing with parents and under 3 is free and there are triple rooms available.
Day 3: After breakfast transfer south via Kilkenny City to Waterford City.
Stay 2 nights at Sion Hill House, Waterford City.
Sion is a charming Georgian manor on 4 acres of park and woodland overlooking the River Suir, an oasis of tranquillity almost in the City Centre. There are 4 ensuite bedrooms with TV, and tea/coffee making facilities and is a non-smoking house.
Has been awarded AAQQQQ. Historic gardens are under restoration, local private garden tours arranged. Crystal factory and shop closeby. Tramore, New Ross and Wexford within easy reach.
Day 5: After breakfast transfer SW to Cork City.
Stay 3 nights at North Mall, Cork City.
Here you will discover a 1750’s town house on tree lined mall overlooking River Lee. This is a 4* elegant accommodation with superb home cooked breakfast and adjacent to some of Ireland’s best restaurants and pubs. There are seven en suite bedrooms.
North Mall is ideally situated for touring the City and the Southwest area of County Cork, Killarney Lakes, Dingle Peninsula and Ring of Kerry. There is secure parking and is suitable for children over 12.
Day 8: After breakfast transfer north to Limerick City.
Stay 2 nights at The Limerick Ryan Hotel, Limerick City.
The original wing of this 4* Hotel dates back to 1780 and has been totally restored to enhance the original architecture. The Limerick Ryan offers a unique blend of luxury in a relaxed and comfortable setting with a high level of professional and personal service.

Day 10: After breakfast transfer north to Galway City.
Stay 3 nights at Norman Villa, Salthill, Galway City.
Norman Villa is a Victorian townhouse with brass beds, Irish linen, antique furniture and contemporary art. With a relaxed atmosphere and fine food, you will find this home ideal for exploring Galway City and the West Coast of Connemara and Mayo. Galway City is known as "The City of the Tribes" and has huge amounts of history. Golf, fishing, walking, horse riding is available locally.
There are five en suite bedrooms and a family room, children over 6 are welcome.
Day 13: after breakfast transfer back East to Dublin City for last night.
Stay at Number 31, Dublin City.
This is an award-winning guesthouse in the heart of Georgian Dublin. It is the former home of the award winning architect Sam Stephenson. The House is an oasis of tranquillity and greenery just off St. Stephen’s Green. Vast breakfasts and a warm welcome assured. It has a secure car park and children over 10 welcome. Day 14: After breakfast transfer back to your departure point or join another tour.
All accommodations have en suite private bathrooms.
Price is for 2 persons sharing a room and includes breakfast.
Being in the city Dinner is available at may local restaurants and food establishments.
